Floor laying methods

Like any other type of floor, bamboo flooring can be laid with a "floating", nail down, glued to the base.

Regardless of the type of flooring you choose, it is advisable to carefully check the substrate on which the floor covering will be laid. The substrate must be clean, dry and smooth (any dirt of the foundation, such as paint, plaster or residues of other materials, must be removed). If a new concrete coating was installed on the premises, a check on the humidity level is required. The substrate moisture content can not be higher than 2 percent. The moisture content of our bamboo floor coverings is 6-10 percent.

Given the fact that bamboo flooring is a natural product that needs to be acclimated, it is recommended that the floor be placed in the room (s) before laying, in which it will be laid, by placing the packages in a glued and leaving for at least 48 hours. Packages can not be opened. Considering that bamboo flooring is a natural product, boards may inevitably have differences in color and structure / fiber. Therefore, it is advisable to simply remove the boards from the package, view their color / pattern and sort the light, medium and dark separately before flooring. During the coating, it will be possible to evenly distribute the boards according to color / pattern throughout the flooring area.

Bamboo flooring, like any other floor covering, is advisable to be laid in queues, from the largest source of natural light.

Floating floors. If you are lined up, place a certain amount of 10 mm of lining on the perimeter of the room so that later, after removing it, there will be an expansion gap. Start laying floorboards by joining grooves (do not attach boards to the deck) with waterproof PVA adhesives, by placing the boards in the desired writing.

Hidden nails. Prepare the base of the plywood, attach any loose moving or curling areas. Bleat or sweep the bumps, and fill the cavities; Wipe / clean welded base. The first bamboo queue is installed leaving a gap of 10 mm from the wall; When the first row is already directly laid and locked, continue to install the other rows by attaching the boards to the base wires with hidden heads at the groove (at least three boards); Try to avoid guilty parties near the edge in order to avoid shocks. If you want a fully-sealed floor, put the tables in the desired shape, you can also use PVA glue.

Adhesion to the base (concrete or wood floor). Prepare the ground first. If this is a wood floor, wipe or lift the bumps, and fill the pockets, wipe / clean the leveling base. If the substrate is concrete, smooth it with a self-leveling floor joint, wipe / clean the leveling base. Remove any chemicals / adhesive residues that may be affected / reacted with adhesives for adhesion to the floor. The first row of boards is installed leaving a gap of 10 mm from the wall; When the first row is already laid and locked straight, continue to install other rows by affixing the boards to the base, placing them in the desired writing.

Gluing the edge of the floor (torn grooving system). If you are lined up, place a certain amount of 10 mm of lining on the perimeter of the room so that later, after removing it, there will be an expansion gap. Start laying floor boards with an adhesive lower anchor part.
